What documents do I need for a DBS check?

I'm a UK Citizen. What documents should I give you?
- A valid passport,
- A Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) Card,
- A UK Photo Driving Licence,
- A UK Adoption Certificate, or
- A UK or Irish Birth Certificate (issued less than 1 year after your birth).
- At least one of these additional documents must show your current address.
I'm a UK Citizen but I don't have a Group 1 Document
This process is slower than if you provided a Group 1 document. If you do not provide a Group 1 document, we are legally required to use an external ID validation service to check your application. You must use the above process if at at all possible to avoid delays in your application.
- A valid non-UK Photo Driving Licence,
- A UK Paper Driving Licence,
- A UK or Irish Birth Certificate (issued more than 1 year after your birth),
- A UK Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate,
- An HM Forces ID Card, or
- A Firearms Licence.
- At least one of these additional documents must show your current address.
I'm not a UK Citizen
- A current Irish Passport or Passport Card,
- A Biometric Residency Permit (BRP) Card,
- A current passport endorsed to show you are allowed to stay in the UK and are currently allowed to do the type of work in question, or
- A Share Code from the gov.uk website that we have checked
- At least one of these additional documents must show your current address.
- A passport or BRP card can only be used as a Supporting Document if it’s not already been used as a Primary Document.
